Cost: $250.00There is a misconception among academics, Egyptologists, and astronomers, as well as astrologers, that astrology did not exist in Egypt until the Late Period, and that it was introduced to Egypt from Babylon and Persia. This is not true. Astrology’s roots appear to go back over 4000 years ago to Egypt, centuries before appearing anywhere else. Understanding where we are now involves knowing where we have come from.
Perhaps the most significant contribution to astrology from ancient Egypt are the Egyptian ideas about time that are an essential part of astrology's philosophical foundation. The exaltations, the houses, the ascendant, and a number of components of the signs all appear to have roots in Egypt. Understanding the Egyptian contributions, in addition to the Mesopotamian and Greek, gives a better understanding of the whole of western astrology.- This course is deigned to develop a comprehensive perspective of business administration principles applicable to an astrology practice or other entrepreneurial endeavor.
We will discuss entrepreneurship in general and specifically astrology as a viable profession based on analyzing the natal chart. Both Vocational Astrology and Electional Astrology will be applicable to the course. Students will learn how to protect intellectual property, such as copyrights, trademarks, and internet domains. We will meet once a week for one hour.

Using video from Lee Lehman, PhD, readings, and a weekly video conference, this course introduces students to the key concepts used in astrology, including planets, signs, nodes, triplicities, quadruplicities, houses, rulerships, and the Ptolemaic aspects. Students will develop their skills in synthesizing the keywords used for each part of a chart into an astrological interpretation.
Students will also learn how keywords and interpretations have changed over time by comparing how William Lilly (16th century), Alan Leo (19th-20th century) and StarIQ (present time) interpret the same components in a chart.
